DH and I headed to the creek for a ramble with the pups. We walked upstream about 100 yards and found that peaceful beauty Texas streams have provided me all my life - gurgling rapids, skeletal falls of trees, buzzing insects.
The mostly full moon was a ghost above us as we frightened the fish with our twelve splashing feet...and we were delighted by the whirlwind of dragonflies along the water.

[Only as we turned back did we note the "GO BACK" written on the concrete sewer surround higher up on the creek bank]
