Turning over a new leaf

Really? You believed that?

Sunday morning walks are such a gift. Late starts do not matter as most people seem to sleep late.

So, few cars were on the street. Few dogs were out and barking (until our return trip up the hills).

We walked and talked, enjoyed the lovely sunrise, watched the now waxing blue moon watching us from above the woods, gathered leatherflower seeds - just now ready to share, and scooted back home before the gnats attacked (THAT might be an interesting horror movie title - Gnat Attack).

The healer at the green house barked as we approached. It happened just as Paddy was noticing a brown paper bag in the street. At the bark, Paddy lunged into the street and we had to gain control. Poor baby gets confused.

So, it was a normal, quiet, confused and lovely Sunday morning.

Welcome sun.
Hello park. Amazing clouds today.
Come here leatherflower seeds.
The wafer ash seeds are not quite dry.
Little flying saucers. The shape must help them disperse.
"What's taking you so long? We are ready to head home."
After Paddy lunged towards the bag, DH recognized the slogan (You could have ordered this on your phone) and explained, "Everyone likes Taco Bell!"
Wild morning glory (pie vine). It is an invasive, but I am still happy to see it when nothing else is blooming.
And the bees need somewhere to go. See our little friend?
Back in the yard, a large garden spider waits in the aspidistra.
Farewell, moon.

  1. This reminds me of a lovely story from Cynthia Rylant's "Every Living Thing." The story is entitled "Boar Out There". I'll get it to you someday soon. <3
