Gates and doors and passageways - Dublin and elsewhere in Ireland

The photos were taken in September 2014. I wanted to put them in one spot - memories of the days of an all too short visit. *

The grounds of one of the cathedrals, perhaps St. Patrick's.
Dublin Castle
Glendalough, County Wicklow
Collins Barracks, Dublin
Glendalough, County Wicklow
St. Stephen's Green, Dublin
Haven't a clue.
At the National Library of Ireland looking towards the National Museum of Ireland - Archeology, Dublin
Somewhere in the countryside
GPO - General Post Office, Dublin **
Dun Aengus, Aran Islands, County Galway
I cannot remember, but we were on the Yeats pilgrimage. I suspect Lissasdell House or Coole Park. [It's Coole Park. I checked.]
One of the gates of Dublin Castle with an art installation (what appears to be paper flying up is actually sheets of porcelain).
Another "not sure," but I wonder if it isn't Markree Castle, County Sligo
Sligo Abbey, Sligo town
Countryside
Main gate, Markree Castle, County Sligo
Porte-cochère (coach gate) at Markree Castle, County Sligo
Maybe a back gate at Markree Castle. And yes, I did wander all over the property.
Shrine near Glencar Waterfall, Co. Sligo/Leitrim
Countryside
Dunsink Observatory gate, Dublin***

NOTES:

* I have been visiting calendars and travel sites. An escape seems to be calling.
**The GPO will be a busy place in 2016, the 100th anniversary of the Easter Rising.
