WATER IN THE PONDS!

On a perfectly foggy/misty day I headed to see what was happening at the ponds on Witter. There were birds - loads of birds.

I miss many as I still don't know all the birds. But of the ones I know:

2 Great Egrets (one shown in multiple photos below - look at the grass below him. He's hunting.)
2 Great Blue Herons
Many assorted ducks
200+ White-winged doves

The photos are here to also document how the ponds were starting to fill, a bit. Some are still puddles, but over half have been dry and empty for months now. It is good to see them back.

Doves on the fence.
Now to capture this "salvation of doves" and more in flight - it looks like the same photo until you see the flyers.



These birds were on one side of the road.


These were on the other.

White Winged dove in the foreground with ducks, Great Egret, and Great Blue Heron in the far pond.

The rain may not continue, but we will have something to see for a while anyway.
