You'll Be Tired, We Were...

Swing and turn, Jubilee,
Live and learn, Jubilee.

If I had a needle and thread,
As fine as I could sew,
I'd sew my true love to my side
And down this creek I'd go.
 Swing and turn, Jubilee,
 Live and learn, Jubilee.*

We are still moving slowly, but getting back out in the world...
starting with seeing a friend and meeting her new pup.

I call this "Smiles With Dog."

After that we headed down to the crossing. You will be tired of our
trips to Mankins Crossing - especially if I don't figure out how to
get better photos. But I will never tire of these moments with the
birds.

Of course we forgot binoculars (we had not really planned this stop).
We did see vultures, egrets, swallows, and other birds. It is a
beautiful place. We need to investigate by boat and/or wading. [For
heavens sake, we need to bring our binoculars!]

Avoiding the bridge traffic, we investigated as much as we had time
and energy for. Then we loaded up and headed home singing along with
the radio.**

Looking downstream from the bridge.
Something is always flying over this spot. We saw egrets, vultures, and swallows.
Vulture
Great Egret
Large dragonfly - perhaps a Widow Skimmer.
Here the dragonfly above trash in the river.
Swallows were nesting under the highway bridge.
Egrets flying and wading.
What appears to be a bank full of invasive elephant ears - Colocasia esculenta
Great Egret just at the bend in Mankins Branch. There are a few crossings of Mankins Branch off County Road 100 not a mile from the crossing.
DH and our constant companion. Someone left a shoe.

I'll bring fire in the winters
You'll send showers in the springs
We'll fly through the falls and summers
with love on our wings
