I love Paddy.
As we approached the second turn into the park Paddy was alert and clearly reacting to something. She was totally aware and concerned.
Then OC spied a truck in an odd place (really almost hidden along the dirt road to the meadows).
We decided to trust Paddy's (and our) instinct and cut this walk short. Read "The Gift of Fear." I just call it "trust your gut."
Paddy would say, "trust your dog."
